With more than a third of all U.S. adults 65 and older experiencing a fall each year, and with up to 30 percent suffering moderate to severe injuries (according to the Center for Disease Control), it’s imperative that seniors and those approaching their golden years take balance issues seriously. Physical therapy can help. 

Falls due to balance issues can be caused by a number of factors including weakness, joint stiffness and pain, inner ear problems, the lack of consistent exercise, or simply issues related to aging. Several medical conditions such as arthritis, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease can also increase the chances of a fall. Whatever your background, our physical therapists will assess the cause of your balance issues and provide an individualized program with the goal of strengthening and stabilizing your body.
